The other day I was telling Triston how surprised I am at how well I am doing being away from my family. This is my first time living out of the same state as them. When I got done telling him that I think I'll be okay where ever we end up moving for PA school, he laughed. Then continued to remind me that there hasn't been a month of our marriage that we haven't seen family, or friends. Which is true, we just finished our two weeks of visitors. And I wish I wasn't in school and that they would all come back.
The two weeks started with my cute family. They came for Shayla's shoulder check up. And stayed with us for a few nights. Triston got to spend more time with them than I did. Because of school and work. But it was still fun they got to come. They were in the middle of Spud Harvest Break. (yes, in Rexburg they take a week off of school to harvest the potatoes) They stayed a couple nights in Park City. So we went there Sunday for my dad's birthday. And then we celebrated it Tuesday night at our house with pizza from my favorite place here Fat Jacks. They ended up leaving Wednesday. But not before leaving me some surprises.
Shayla hasn't been able to cheer due to her shoulder injury. And she has found another talent she has. She is the most crafty person I know. She made this cute fall wreath for us. In like ten minutes and it cost $5. Seriously?? Who does that.
Brinlee cracks me up. She left these pictures in the kitchen above the sink. They are pictures of her me and Triston. She is still mad that Triston "made" me move away. But I think she forgets all about that when she is around Triston. They tease each other and laugh and laugh.
Our next visitors came on thursday. And we were so excited to see my Gma and Gpa Honey. ( Lords) When they got here Thursday we went with them to a BYU volleyball game. My Gpa wasn't super thrilled to be there. But I think he enjoyed hanging out with us. We also got to see my great Uncles and their wives. Derik and Craig married sisters and so the Anderson's have been close friends to us for forever. And we got to see two of Kathy and Debbie's sisters. We spent the weekend shopping, and eating, and more shopping and more eating. Safe to say Gma and Gpa spoiled us.
On sunday we also had my second cousin Michelle and her husband and son over for breakfast. We had fun catching up, and they met Triston for the first time. We were sad to see my grandparents leave. But we look forward to thanksgiving.
Next my friend Monica and her kids stayed with us on their way back to Idaho. I can't believe how big her kids are getting. I mean I changed Lincoln's diapers. And now he is a big boy. Just shows ya kids don't ever stop growing.
Our last visitor was Triston's dad. He came and stayed with us for a weekend. We loved having him because we don't get to see Triston's AZ family much. That 9 hour drive is a killer. But it was fun to show him our new place and around Provo. He also spoiled us with lots of food. He plants a big garden every year. So he does all the hard work, then brings us the food. Lucky us!!
We love having our visitors. Like Triston said it keeps me from being homesick. So.... who is going to visit us next?? :)
