The Day We Celebrated GraceLynn
I truly believe that women are pregnant for what seems like years and then as soon as the baby gets here time flies and before you know it they are 1. And that is exactly how we felt as GraceLynn turned 1. It was bitter sweet for sure. I especially had a hard time with it because I also stopped nursing. Which I do have to say is nice but at the same time I truly felt like she didn't need me anymore. As the days go on I know that is not the case. In fact at 24 I still need my mom and talk to her everyday. But here we are a year later with the most independent, smart, happy, and loving 1 year old. As we look back on the day she was born we are amazed at the development that has gone on.
Since GraceLynn's birthday was a Saturday we decided to spend the whole day doing things that GraceLynn loves. We were so lucky to have a lot of family and friends spend the day with us!
GraceLynn for sure has the Lords genes in her. Because she really likes donuts. And we hadn't ever taken her to Crispy Cream. And if you know her Gpa and Great Gpa Lords you know they also love Crispy Cream Donuts. So we all went there for breakfast.
Next we took her swimming. She has always been a little fish when it comes to the water. She loves to float on her back, blow bubbles, and kick her legs.
And lastly we had pizza, cup cakes, cake balls, and ice cream. And she got so spoiled with lots of presents. Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us!
Love,
The Rogers
