Summer Fun Part 1 and Elder Lords Birthday

Our Summer so far...

This being our first summer married, and our first summer together. We are trying to take full advantage and play, play, play. We both go back to school on Sept. 2nd. So we are trying to enjoy our time school free. We are both working full time. We both work at Advanced Spinal Care in Spanish Fork. It is a chiropractic center. Triston does the Physical Therapy and I am the front desk girl. Our clinic is working on becoming bigger and we have had fun helping that along the way. People ask if we get sick of each other being together all the time. And we actually love it. I am sad that when Sept. comes Triston will go back to BYU and won't be working with me anymore.

Ignore our squinty eyes. But it was bright. We were able to go to the Odgen Temple open house on Friday with Tristons mom Cindy. It was beautiful and it was fun to see the changes that were done there. We loved it.

On Friday night our ward had a luau and our bishops wife is polynesian. So this was the real thing. We had a lot of fun and made some friends. So we are excited about that.

Saturday morning we decided to hike bridal vail falls. We hiked to the top. I got a little nervous because the hike was a little sketchy. But Triston loved the whole thing. If you are ever in the Provo Canyon then you need to go see Bridal Vail Falls.

Saturday night we decided to take advantage of our pass of all passes. A little plug for them. They are totally worth it. We paid $30 for a year. And we have been into 7 peaks once and been mini golfing, and hitting in the batting cages. And have many more plans. All of this has been free. Anyways I beat Triston in mini golf and batting.... oh wait that didn't happen. It's bad that he is as competitive as I am. But it makes for fun date nights.

HOLY COW Elder Lords is 19!!!
Seems crazy to me that he is that old. He has always been my baby brother but now he is all old and on a mission. And honestly couldn't be more proud of him. The first picture is one of my favorites of him. When I think of Trevin as a baby I think of the fighting it was to hold him. Josh was so excited that he wasn't going to be the only boy. He couldn't wait to teach him how to play ball just like him. And they have done just that since the day Trev was born. The day Trevin was born Josh couldn't get to the hospital fast enough. My grandma Lords was with us. And when we got news that Trevin was here, Josh was in a hurry. Because we couldn't go right up to the hospital my gma decided to stall and go get my mom flowers. At the flower shop Josh lost his patience and told us to just pick the first flowers we saw. And from then on those two have been besties. How lucky is Trevin to have such a good older brother who has loved him from day one. What a good example Trevin has!

In honor of his birthday I have to tell my favorite story of him. When he was born I was almost 3. I was the only child and quite liked that. So when I was taken to the hospital to see him  I wasn't too happy to have someone in on my territory. So my aunt Nicole asked me what the babies name should be. And I told her potato. And called him that for a while. Josh I didn't want you then. But I am so glad to have you new. I am so blessed to have you as my brother. You have taught me so much. I can't even believe the person you have become. We love you!

Love,

The Rogers
