Adventure in Manti, UT

Last weekend Triston's mom invited us to go to the Manti Pageant at the Manti Temple. We were excited because we had never been but had heard a lot about it. When we started telling people we were going, everyone had a different opinion about it. But the one thing everyone said was that the night we were going was the last night for the year. So that meant there would be lots and lots of people. One person told us that we should probably just take a tent and spend the night because there are so many people it is impossible to get out of the small town. But Triston and I like to camp in the woods without people around. And camping in Manti, it was tent next to tent. So we vetoed that idea. And decided we would just drive home. We had to speak in church the following sunday so we planned to plan our talks on the way home.
On our way there we stopped for dinner in the cutest little restaurant in Ephraim. It was called Roys and it was a pizza place. We got a chicken Alfredo pizza. And if you are ever in Ephraim then you need to stop at Roys.

We got to Manti about 5 so safe to say we had plenty of time to get a good seat. So we decided to walk around. There were tons of vendors and we got some ice cream. The gate didn't open until 6. So we got in line. And I hadn't seen anything like I did when the gates opened. People started running to get seats. There were so many seats Triston and I laughed because we knew no matter what everyone would get a good seat.
We had fun walking around the temple. It is truly beautiful. We sat next to a really cute couple that just returned from being mission presidents. And they also lived in Puerto Rico for a while. Safe to say we bonded over Puerto Rico's goodness.
We both enjoyed the pageant. We kinda feel like it was a cheesy. But the message was amazing. And we say everyone should go at least once in their  lives.
When it was over Triston and I walked fast to the car. And we headed south for a little to avoid traffic. And we were both surprised that we got out of Manti in 5 minutes flat.

With love,
The Rogers
